60TH ANNIVERSARY
OF THE
POMPIERS AUXILIAIRES DE MONTREAL
On Saturday August 21, 2004, the Pompiers Auxiliaires de Montreal ( the Montreal Auxiliary Firemen) celebrated 60 years of service to the Montreal Fire Department by hosting a gala parade of antique and modern fire apparatus. Approximately 70 vehicles paraded through the streets of Ville Emard (Southwest sector of Montreal). The parade arrived at Angrignon Park where thousands of persons viewed the various vehicles as well as demonstrations by the high angle rescue team, the hazardous materials team and an extrication of a simulated victim from a car accident by the crew of Rescue Pumper 604. A great time was had by all. The following is a visual history of the day.
